A week-end long service of songs and praises kicked off the 3rd Annual Worldwide International Convention for Prophets and Prophetesses of the Celestial Church of Christ hosted by Washington Metropolitan District, held at CCC LULI Parish Maryland, USA, Started on Friday April 7^th to Sunday April 9^th 2006.

The Head of American Diocese, Superior Evangelist Charles Agbasa Declared the International Convention opened with short prayers and word of exhortation. In His words He emphasized on forgiveness of sins and Spiritual sanctification. Afterwards He welcomed all the participants that came from all works of lives, especially His colleagues in the vine yard of God just to mention a few. Sup. Evang. Anthony Iremiren -MD, Sup. During the convention there were series of praise worship songs by mass choirs from different Parishes from within and outside of the United States of America.

Ist Guest Speaker on Friday April 7, 2006, Evangelist Foluke Sloan preached a sermon that focused on the theme “Obedience To God”. She urged Prophets, and Prophetesses to be in obedience to the word and ordinances of God because they are the mouth piece of God.

The 2^nd Guest Speaker on Friday April 7, 2006, Prophetess Patra Kidwell-Zanu, speaks on the topic “Different Gifts Of The Holy Spirits”, She admonished fellow Prophets and Prophetesses of the Lord against "The ever present temptations of lying lips”. Backing it up with series of Bible quotations.

The 3rd Guest Speaker on Saturday April 8, 2006 Rev. Dr. Angelica Celix of Hope Family Church, Annapolis, MD. She emphasized that before a Prophet or a Prophetess can fulfill His/Her prophetic calling must seek for wisdom, knowledge, understanding and faith from God.

The 5th Guest Speaker on Sarturday April 8, 2006 Rev. Dr. Steven John of Jesus Christ Global Misson, Lanham MD. He admonished the Prophets / Prophetesses to use their gifts in uplifting the Glory of God.

The 6th Guest Speaker on Sarturday April 8, 2006 Prophet Wale Adebayo Shepherd-In-Charge of CCC Thy Will Be Done Parish –NY and Director of Evangelism American Diocese. He encouraged Prophets / Prophetesses to Prophesy according to the will of God.

The 7th Guest Speaker on Sunday April 9, 2006 Arch Bishop George Augustus Stanley Jnr. Head & Founder of Imani Temple, DC. He advised the congregation to uplift the name of God without fear or favor because God has a purpose for sending this Church “Celestial Church Of Christ” to this part of the world. He use the analogy in Mark 11:2-3 “And saith unto them, go your way into the village over against you: and as soon ye be entered into it ye shall find a colt tied whereon never man sat loose him and bring him –3. and if any man say unto you why do ye this? Say ye that the Lord hath need of him and straightway he will send him hither.” To buttress His point that whoever ask us why we worship the way we do, answer them by saying God ask of it.

In conclusion the Convention was worth emulating and encouraging. Keep up the good work of God.

 The next proposed 4th Annual International Prophets & Prophetesses Convention, USA will take place in either California State or New York Stare on April 6th to 8th, 2007. Hope to see you there.
